Client Brief
The homeowners in Wollaston approached Traditional Pools looking to completely modernise their outdoor swimming pool and surrounding area. The brief included upgrading the pool’s internal systems, refreshing the appearance of the pool itself, and creating a clean, contemporary outdoor entertaining space.
Scope of Work
This was a comprehensive renovation project involving structural upgrades, new filtration and heating systems, electrical improvements, and a complete transformation of the pool surrounds.
Every detail was carefully considered to create a modern, low-maintenance swimming pool ready for extended seasonal use.
Pool Renovation & Upgrades
On-Site Pool Lining
The existing pool was fully refurbished with a new on-site reinforced lining system, giving the pool a fresh, premium finish while ensuring long-term durability and watertight performance.
Complete Pipework & Shell Fitting Replacement
All original pipework and shell fittings were removed and replaced with brand-new components to modern standards, significantly improving circulation, reliability, and overall efficiency.

Plant Room Modernisation

New AFM® Filtration System
A brand-new filtration setup using AFM® (Activated Filter Media) was installed, providing exceptional water clarity and superior filtration performance compared to traditional sand systems.
New Pump & Air Source Heat Pump
A new circulation pump and energy-efficient air source heat pump were installed, allowing the homeowners to enjoy warmer water temperatures with significantly improved running efficiency and lower operating costs.
